Bangladesh Advances Public Procurement Law Reform
Bangladesh’s Cabinet approved the draft Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Act on 2 November, moving proposed procurement reforms toward legal vetting. The draft addresses tender competition and participation by smaller and disadvantaged businesses; no monetary value has been assigned to the legislation. Legal firms, procurement compliance advisers and tender consultants can prepare for the proposed changes; HPC can support regulatory research and compliance proposals.
