Malaysia’s Export Volume Index Rises 11.4% in September 2026

On 28 October, the Department of Statistics Malaysia released its September 2026 External Trade Indices, reporting an 11.4% month-on-month increase in the export volume index and a 10.0% rise in the import volume index. On a year-on-year basis, export volume increased 42.9%, while import volume rose 44.4%. The figures are provisional and may be revised in a later release. Exporters, importers and market-research firms can use the data to assess trade demand, sector performance and supply-chain trends.
